Service Description
RDS offer a combined Security Instructor Course in Hull including the following 3 courses. Level 3 Award in Education and Training (E&T) Conflict Management Trainer Qualifications (Level 3) Physical Intervention (PI) Trainer course Level 3 This course gives you everything that you need to be able to deliver SIA Door Supervisor or security guarding courses, including a tutor pack and a 12-month licence agreement to deliver the L2 RDS physical intervention package. Please be aware that the SIA require trainers to have 2 years within the last five years, front line experience in either guarding or working in premises that sell alcohol. This can include NAAFI’s and venues outside the UK. Other occupations such as the police may be considered by the Awarding Organisation for whom you are delivering for. RDS cannot guarantee that occupational competence will be accepted by an Awarding Organisation. Week 1 E&T (written assessments and delivery of a micro teach, no exam) and Conflict Management (delivery of a micro teach, a smaller number of written assessments and multiple choice exam (30 questions, pass mark 20). Week 2 Days 1- 4 PI Trainer Level 3 delivery of micro teaches and multiple choice exam )30 questions, pass mark is 24). Please note you are required to type your written assessments for the Education & Training qualification. You will need to bring a laptop with office software. I you do not have a laptop, please notify the office in advance and RDS will lend you a computer for the time you are in our centre. This training requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. It does not exclude people with disabilities but all injuries must be notified in advance of the course. RDS Training Ltd will not be held liable for any injuries that were not reported prior to or during the course. The level 3 Delivery of Physical Intervention is developed by the SIA and therefore has the same ID requirements as a full SIA course. Consequently, you must produce as proof of identity one group A document and two group B documents on the first day of training. The course is accredited by Highfield Qualifications.
