RDS DS & CP PI Refresher

Service Description

The L3 Physical Intervention Refresher and Conversion Trainer Course is structured over 1 day from 10am until 5pm. Conversions from other PI packages must provide copies of their generic teaching, level 3 delivery of conflict management and level 3 delivery of physical intervention. These must be from either the QCF or RQF framework periods. Refreshers are on the RDS system and do not need to bring any certificates or identity. Dress code: You will be given a safety briefing at the beginning of the course. This includes restrictions with dress code. Your dress must be suitable for you to be safety able to interact with others e.g. no flip flops, high heels, skirts or dresses and all jewellery must be removed or in the case of a wedding ring taped over to prevent injury to others. If your dress is not suitable you will not be able to participate in the course and achieve your qualification. If you have any questions or queries regarding the dress code, please contact the office prior to attending the course. Achievement of this course is by assessment. There is not an examination. Successful completion of the level 3 refresher course will enable you to deliver RDS physical intervention skills at level 2 to DS and CP learners. You will be required to sign two licensing agreements with RDS to deliver our skills suite. This is only to ensure that you will deliver our skills as we have taught them to you, ensure that the centres you are working through have sufficient insurance and that you will refresh your skills annually. There is no charge for the license agreement. You must notify us of any disabilities or injuries which may affect you during the course.
