Service Description

From 1 April 2021 onwards, the SIA will introduce new licence–linked qualifications. These have been introduced to ensure professionals within the private security industry have a stronger skill set required for the role. This includes the ability to manage potential risks and changes caused by new technology. Your previous licence must not have expired by more than 3 years. SIA require learners have good English reading, speaking and writing skills. You must complete the First Aid eLearning (your log in details will be e mailed to you by Highfield e learning), the ACT terrorism e-learning both parts Red & Blue prior to the course and e mail completed certificates to info@rdstraining.co.uk. Failure to complete the required e-learning prior to the course will prevent you attending the course. NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED FOR FALLING TO FOLLOW OUR INSTRUCTIONS. ACT Awareness and ACT Security are completed on the webpage: https://ct.highfieldelearning.com/ You complete these by creating an account at https://www.protectuk.police.uk/catalogue. Please note: This training requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. It does not exclude people with disabilities, but all injuries must be notified in advance of the course. *RDS Training Ltd will not be held liable for any injuries that were not reported prior to or during the course. This course consists of 3 Units. Unit 1 – Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry. This unit is assessed by a multiple choice examination of 10 questions, pass mark of 7. Unit 2 – Principles of Using Equipment as a Door Supervisor. Pre course reading will be sent to you and a workbook which will be completed in during the course. This unit is assessed by a multiple choice examination of 5 questions, pass mark of 4. Unit 3 – Application of Physical intervention in the Private Security Industry – 13 contact hours. The unit is assessed by a multiple choice exam of 30 questions, pass mark 24. Without the specific ID you will NOT BE ALLOWED to attend the course: A combination of identity: Group A documents You need to provide 1 x document group A.
