Service Description

This qualification is designed for anyone who currently holds a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a Security Guard, or whose licence has not been lapsed more than 3 years, and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualifications requirements. It allows them to meet their mandatory top-up requirements for Security Guards to renew their SIA licence. It is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications. This course is certified by Highfield Qualifications. SIA require learners have good English reading, speaking and writing skills You must complete the First Aid eLearning (your log in details will be e mailed to you by Highfield e learning), the ACT terrorism e-learning both parts Red & Blue. and the wordbook prior to the course and e mail completed certificates to info@rdstraining.co.uk. Failure to complete the required e-learning prior to the course will prevent you sitting your exams. NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED FOR FALLING TO FOLLOW OUR INSTRUCTIONS. ACT Awareness and ACT Security are completed on the webpage: https://ct.highfieldelearning.com/ You complete these by creating an account at https://www.protectuk.police.uk/catalogue. The Security Officer (Top-Up) Course is split into 2 sections. • Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry (10 Question Multiple Choice Exam) • Principles of Minimising Personal Risk for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry (16 Question Multiple Choice Exam) Both components must be completed and passed in order for the candidate to apply to the SIA for their licence. Please note: There are very strict entry requirements, consequently you must produce as proof of identity for the course and examinations your ID and digital photographs will be taken on the first day of training.
