L2 Award in CCTV Operations (Public Surveillance) is a regulated qualification. It is essential for anyone wishing to work as a CCTV operative as it provides you with the necessary skills and knowledge to legally operate a CCTV system. This course has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). The course consists of: Working in the Private Security Industry (110 minutes multiple choice exam. 72 questions, pass mark 50). Working as a CCTV Operator (1 hour multiple choice exam. Pass mark 28/40) Practical Use of CCTV System (tutor assessed) IMPORTANT – You may be exempt from the first exam if you have passed the Working in the Private Security Industry unit since 1st April 2021. You must provide a copy of your certificate. The cost of the course includes Registration, Certification, Light lunch, tea & coffee. All prices are inclusive of VAT. The fee for the licence is not included. The course is accredited by Highfield Qualifications. Please note: There are very strict entry requirements, consequently you must produce as proof of identity one group A document and two group B documents on the first day of training. Once you have successfully completed the course you will need to apply for your SIA licence.
