Service Description

Level 1 Award in Health & Safety for Construction Environment in Hull is designed for people working in, or aspiring to work in, the construction industry to obtain the part 1 towards applying for their CSCS card to work in construction. It will give learners the knowledge to undertake their jobs safely. CSCS Health & Safety for Construction course covers: common hazards and risks in a construction environment safe manual handling practices working safely at height and working safely around plant and machinery importance of effective teamwork and communication in ensuring safe working practices are followed in the construction industry. CSCS L1 Award Health & Safety in the Construction course includes: Registration & Certification Accredited by: Highfield Qualifications Assessment: The Highfield section of the course is assessed by an examination. 40 questions in one hour. The pass mark is 32. The qualification is certificated by Highfield Qualifications. All exams are taken online and results are instant. Resits can be booked the same day if required. Certificates are received electronically at the office and e mailed within 5 working days of completing your Highfield course. To be able to apply for a CSCS card the second examination must be taken at an approved test centre such as Bond Street in Hull. This part is not included in this package. IMPORTANT: You will be required to produce photographic proof of identity at the test centre. ID will be required on the day of training. Without the ID you will NOT BE ALLOWED to complete the course and examinaton. However for this section of the process photographic ID is preferred but not essential, For example, you could bring your driving licence, passport, photographic employee card or bank card.
