Understanding Challenging Behaviour

Service Description

Delivered by DJD Consultants in partnership with RDS. This training is aimed to help providers and their staff to develop an understanding of the signs and triggers of challenging behaviour. The course is designed to help individuals recognise and defuse potential challenging behaviour prior to the service user becoming violent. Some service users will become violent and these cases the physical intervention course should be taken after this non restrictive course. Our training offers vital support for social care providers so they comply with the Health & Safety at Work etc Act and Care Quality Commission requirements, and promote human rights. The course content: The behavioural cycle How to recognise and interpret body language Spacial awareness Triggers and inhibitors Signs of escalation Defusing conflict situations Post episode Course Venue: RDS Training Centre in Hull, or employer’s workplace. Course costs:£60 per person inclusive of VAT Understanding Challenging Behaviour course cost includes: 1 day training held from 930 am to 4 pm registration certification light lunch Accredited by: RDS and DJD Consultants Accredited by: a Highfield Qualification can be achieve by sitting a formal multiple choice exam at the end of the course and an additional charge of £15 per person inclusive of VAT
