Why is this change happening? From 1 April 2021 onwards, the SIA will introduce new licence–linked qualifications. These have been introduced to ensure professionals within the private security industry have a stronger skill set required for the role. This includes the ability to manage potential risks and changes caused by new technology. Top-up training will be additional training to ensure current Door Supervisor are updated to 2021. Level 3 First Aid courtse is (9:00 am am till 13:30pm ) This course consists of 3 Units. Unit 1 – Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry. This unit is completed by online ACT training, and this must be completed before the course Unit 2 – Principles of Using Equipment as a Door Supervisor. Pre course reading will be sent to you and a workbook which will be completed in during the course. This unit is assessed by a multiple choice examination of 5 questions, of which you must achieve a minimum mark of 3. Unit 3 – Application of Physical intervention in the Private Security Industry – 13 contact hours. The unit is assessed by a multiple choice exam of 30 questions, of which you must achieve a minimum of . Without the specific ID you will NOT BE ALLOWED to take the examination A combination of identity: please see list Group A documents You need to provide 1 x document group A.
