CP Top Up

Service Description

This qualification is designed for anyone who needs to renew their CP licence. Your last CP licence must not have expired more than 3 years ago at the time of completing the course. You must hold a minimum of a level 3 Award in First Aid at Work which will not expire within the next 12 months. If you believe have a valid first aid please e mail this to RDS for confirmation and then book the option that excludes first aid. To refresher a first aid qualification your certificate must not have expired by more than one month at the time of taking the course. There is mandatory e learning for this course that must be completed prior to attendance and the evidence of completion e mailed to info@rdstraining.co.uk ACT Awareness and ACT Security both completed within the last 12 months. You complete these by creating an account at https://www.protectuk.police.uk/catalogue. This training requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. Please contact RDS if you have concerns. The course is 4 days for CP Top Up. The SIA have stipulated the following contact hours for the Top Up course: Counter terrorism exam (10 pass mark 7) working as a door supervisor as a close protection officer (29 questions 72% pass) 13 hours doors physical intervention (30 questions pass mark 24) 20 hours CP physical intervention. (30 questions pass mark 24) There have been a slight reduction due to cross over between the two PI units resulting in a total contact time of 30 hours. Please note: There are very strict entry requirements, consequently you must produce as proof of identity for the course and examinations your ID and digital photographs will be taken on the first day of training.
