Service Description
The L3 Delivery of Conflict Management & Physical Intervention Trainer Course is structured over 6 days from 9am until 5pm. To attend this course, you must produce proof of successfully completing a level 3 teaching qualification and qualification, without the specific proof you will NOT BE ALLOWED to take the course. The conflict Management (DCM) must be completed prior to starting the physical intervention course. The DCM consists of a multiple choice exam of 30 questions (20 must be correct to pass) and the delivery of a 30-minute micro teach session on a topic from the conflict management program. Requirements for this L3 Physical Intervention Trainer Course You must produce proof of identity for the course and assessment, without the specific ID you will NOT BE ALLOWED to take the assessment. You must also bring on the first morning. A combination of identity 1 x group A & 2 x Group B Documents. Dress code: You will be given a safety briefing at the beginning of the course. This includes restrictions with dress code. Your dress must be suitable for you to be safety able to interact with others e.g. no flip flops, high heels, skirts or dresses and all jewellery must be removed or in the case of a wedding ring taped over to prevent injury to others. If your dress is not suitable you will not be able to participate in the course and achieve your qualification. If you have any questions or queries regarding the dress code, please contact the office prior to attending the course. Achievement of this course is by assessment and a 30 question examination. The pass mark is 24. Successful completion of the level 3 course will enable you to deliver RDS physical intervention skills at level 2. You will be provided with all the resources that you will need during your level 3 course. You will be required to sign a licensing agreement with RDS to deliver our skills suite. This is only to ensure that you will deliver our skills as we have taught them to you, ensure that the centres you are working through have sufficient insurance and that you will refresh your skills annually. There is no charge for the license agreement. You must notify us of any disabilities or injuries which may affect you during the course. RDS Training Ltd will not be held responsible for aggravated injuries / disabilities that were not disclosed prior to the course.
