In two weeks you will be able to achieve:-  QCF L2 Award in Door Supervision, QCF L2 Award in CCTV (Public Surveillance) and First Aid at Work.  

This will enable you to work as a door supervisor, security guard, retail guard, CCTV operator and be able to give basic first aid.

You will be the ideal employee for any contract security company.   

L2 Award in Door Supervision - If you want to work in a licenced environment such as pubs, clubs, off licences or any shop which sells alcohol you will need an SIA licence in Door Supervision.

The course is 5 days consisting of a generic unit that is for anyone working within the Private Security Industry, unit 2 is working as a door supervisor, unit 3 is conflict management and unit 4 is physical intervention. The first 3 units are assessed by multiple choice examination. The fourth unit is assessed by the tutor through observation and asking you questions.

The cost is £250 inclusive of VAT. This price includes your certificates and refreshments.

The Level 2 Award in CCTV Operation (Public Surveillance) is an SIA requirement for all operatives who monitor the public either in a public area such as a shopping area and operatives supplied on contract by a security company to another company.

The course consists of 2 units. Unit 1 Working in the Private Security Industry and unit 2 CCTV specialist unit. Unit 1 and 2 are assessed by multiple choice examination. Unit 2 also requires a practical observed assessment.

The courses can currently only be held in agreement with employers with a CCTV control room due to the practical examination. Dates will be arranged with the employer.

The cost is £250 inclusive of VAT. Course duration is 4 days.

The  level 2 award in physical intervention course is a non pain based set of skills to disengage from an aggressor or restrict an individual whilst manoeuvering them.

This qualification is the fourth section of the current door supervisors course and will be useful to anyone who deals with aggressive people or is required to escort people without the risk of physical injury to the customer / client.

All applicants must have achieved a recognised conflict managaement level 2 qualification prior to attending this course.

The 3-day First Aid at Work qualification is valid for 3 years, this 2-day course will maintain the qualification of First Aiders.  All successful students will be issued with a new First Aid at Work Certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.

Cost £80+VAT=£96.00 

L2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is one day course which is assessed through out the day by the tutor. There is no external assessment.

Candidates gaining this qualification will know that First Aid is the
responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment. Its
topics are regarded by the Health & Safety Executive as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace.

Cost £30 per delegate (£36 including VAT)

The Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid is a qualification aimed at
those who wish to become a Paediatric First Aider in the workplace with
a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. This qualification
is intended for candidates already working or preparing to work in
industry.

The course is assessed by a combination of a multiple choice question paper. 15 questions to be answered in 30 minutes. Pass mark is 10 questions answered correctly. Practical assessment of CPR, recovery position and bleeding and choking.

Course duration is 2 days with some pre course work.

Cost £70 (£84 inclusive of VAT).

The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is intended as an
introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work,
returning to work or needing specific training in manual handling as
well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training.
Persons gaining this qualification will understand that moving and
handling must be carried out correctly and recognise its importance in
ensuring a safer working environment.

The course is assessed by a mulitiple choice examination consisting of 15 questions. Pass mark is 10 correct answers. A practical assessment to ensure the learner can use the techniques correctly.

Course duration is 1 day.

Cost is £40 per delegate (£48 inclusive of VAT).

The aim of the HABC PLH qualification is to provide candidates with essential knowledge of the legal framework surrounding the sale of alcohol in England and Wales. This includes key information on the responsibilities of personal licence holders, duties of the Designated Premises Supervisor, the role of licensing authorities and police powers regarding licensed premises.

Achievement of the qualification forms an essential part of the personal licence application and will enable those selling or authorising alcohol sales to operate both legally and responsibility.

This is a single unit qualification, assessed by a  40 question multiple-choice examination. Successful candidates must achieve a score of at least 28/40 

The examination paper is externally set and marked  by HABC. The duration of the examination is 1 hour.

Course cost is £125 plus VAT 

This course has been designed for the care sector and is aimed at dealing with confused and frustrated clients, service users and residents.

The course can be delivered at the work premises or in our training room.

Each delegate will receive an RDS certificate upon successful completion of the course. The course is assessed by the tutor. There is not an external examination.

Dates will be supplied on demand.

 This course has been designed for the care sector. The techniques are non pain compliant. The course will show the delegates how to evade blows and if necessary restraint individuals.

Delegates should have received some training in conflict management / dealing with challenging behaviours prior to attending this course.

The techniques require regular practice to ensure accurate  application when used.

Dates will be provided upon request. The course can be delivered at the workplace or at RDS Training.

Course duration is 4 hours.

L3 Award for Deliverers ofPhysical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry enables you to deliver the RDS level 2 physical intervention skills.

You must already hold a suitable teaching qualification (minimum PTLS) and an approved conflict management trainer qualification ( C&G 1886 or Edexcel conflict management trainer)

The course is 4 days. You will be provided with a full trainer pack and all materials on CD that you will need to deliver the level 2 course. RDS licence the individual. You are required to work with an approved centre to ensure that the insurance criteria are met. You will receive updates via e mail. You are required to attend refresher training annually and renew you licensing agreement with RDS annually.

The cost is £545 +VAT.

The Conflict Management Trainer may be taken as an individual qualification by attending for 3 days. An appropriate teaching qualification equivalent to PTTLS must have been achieved prior to commencing the conflict management trainer qualification.

The combined Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) and L3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Mangement Training course is a 5 day course. Ideal for individuals wanting to teach security qualifications or conflict management to any sector.

Any tutor who holds a current trainer certificate from any of the approved physical intervention master trainers, can transfer to another approved trainer by successfully completing their level 3 course. Evidence of a QCF qualification in L3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry will be required after 31/07/11.

This course is for anyone who sells alcohol. The course is certification by the BIIAB and is recommended for anyone working in public houses, off licences, restaurants or any other outlets selling alcohol.

The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness is a qualification aimed at all staff, particularly new starters in any workplace, where a basic
understanding of fire safety is required
